The new CNIA administration replaced the old admin. in May 2000. It is
unfortunate that the defeated party and the old executive director contacted
the private funders (Honeywell, James Ford Bell, McKnight) making the new
CNIA board appear "unstable" and unable to handle any grants that may be
offerred. In addition to this problem, there appears to be 110K missing
under the previous administration (Pres. Roxana Orrell and husband, Treas.
Robert Schmid). Many financial and organizational documents were stolen from
the office immediately after the May 2000 election (a police report was
filed). This, along with a lawsuit filed by the old ED against the
organization, made it difficult for the current administration to function
properly. Mr. Schmid was asked to sign documents for the release of previous
bank statements, however, to this date Mr. Schmid has refused to sign these
documents.

Mr. Miller and Mr. Horan (the area manager for NRP) were contacted regarding
the missing funds from CNIA. They were asked to assist in finding,
prosecuting and holding the previous admin. accountable for this money. To
this date, nothing has happened. Coincidentally, Mr. Horan is a good friend
of Jana Metge (previous ED). This example of what has occurred in CNIA only
reinforces my belief that the NRP process is ineffective and that too much
power lies in the hands of a few people.

Note: I do agree with Annie Young that Central issues should be kept in
their own bedroom. I'm also tired of seeing the CNIA org. details on this
forum. I simply saw this issue more pertinent to NRP, which is a city issue.
Therefore, I commented on it on the forum.
