This sounds familliar, as in the legislature putting the screws to the
city council
to let the kondirator proceed. How they were able to delay a road
project is also telling.
They could have done anything they wanted with highway 55 and decided to
do the easy thing and quell
public unrest with use of the thumpers.
They act as if their hands are tied so much of the time. Maybe this time
the public unrest was coming
from people who matter, or should I say people with money.

I have little hope for Mpls, and unlike R.T. will not stay and die in
this crappy little
backwater that Mpls is soon becoming. It's sad all that you were blessed
with and
they pissed it away so carelessly.

I'll end with some advice from Joe Strummer,

It's up to you not to heed the call up,
and you must not act the way you were brought up.
Who knows the plans and why they were drawn up,
who gives you work and why should you do it.
It's up to you not to heed the call up.
