I don't know how many residents work at the companies mentioned. But if 
memory serves, Honewell and Allina both tied employment of residents into 
the housing developments they helped support in the area.
Jobs in the suburbs are seen as unaccessible because of their location. Jobs 
in the city are seen as unaccessible because they seek qualified applicants. 
Seems a no-win situation.
>From a business standpoint, Minneapolis businesses have consistently cited 
the lack of available skilled labor as a major concern in relation to hiring 
residents, staying in Minneapolis or potentially relocating to the (dreaded) 
'burbs. I don't agree that it's racism; it's an urban reality.
