8 years ago, Lisa McDonald managed to manipulate her entrance into the DFL
party and get the endorsement (over a true democrat Bert Black). 4 years
ago, she again sought the DFL endorsement for re-election, however the 10th
ward delegates saw through her and decided not to endorse her. She ran for
city council after having promised to honor the DFL endorsement and walking
out of the convention (hoping there would be no quorum).

Today, once again Lisa sought the DFL endorsement (this time for mayor).
Fortunately, delegates were wise and she was dropped after the second ballot.
Clearly, she does not have the DFL support due to her disloyalty to the
party. Both Belton and Ryback clearly stated their commitment to the DFL
party unlike McDonald. After being asked about their position on the Green
Party endorsement, Belton and Ryback clearly stood by the DFL party.
However, McDonald's answer was ambiguous.

In my opinion, McDonald has no true ties to any party or individual. It's
all about Lisa. It seems that she would join any party that would guarantee
her the next mayoral seat. Her camgaign people were very pleased to see that
there was no endorsement, but I am simply wondering if she had a point to
even show up at the convention today if she planned to run regardless of an
endorsement. It is obvious that she is using the DFL party for her own
personal gain. I am urging all DFLers to keep the morals, ethics and beliefs
of the party strong by continuing to filter out those individuals who are
trying to take advantage of our party.
