For any of you political junkies who want to learn everything you want to
know about being a campaign manager and how to run campaign's is covered in
a variety of books that are linked on the website Political Insider (right
hand column). One of those references is a $19.95 book called: 1000 ways
to win a student body election written by the politicos in schools. It is
great and has some wonderful grassroots ideas - back to the basics folks.
Looks like Mr. Peterson is perfect to fill that bill of the student
representative everyone has always wanted on the School Board but never
quite figured out the system to get one on... so hats off to Patrick. Just
out of school enough to begin his next steps and yet remembers clearly the
experience. He was also the only candidate I witnessed asking Sharon Henry
to release her delegates to him - they had one of those heart-to-heart's
that is so beautiful at conventions. I was right next to them and it
brought tears to my eyes. Sharon brought in some new first-timers herself
(even if they didn't stick around) It defintely was one of the highlights
of the day. Congratulations, Patrick.
