Hello:  Here is a copy of the convention results from last weekend. I apologize for taking so long to get them out, but I am in the middle of finals week and not a whole lot is happening besides that at this point. I will get the minutes out later this week. I am sure there are typos in this, I have not proofed it. Feel free to get them back to me.

Assnt Sec to the Convention

 

FINAL RESULTS FROM DFL CITY CONVENTION:

School Board
Blythe: Endorsed on second ballot with 60 percent, or 547 votes.
Bridges: Dropped on third ballot, with 10 percent, or 91 votes.
Erickson: Conceded on the fourth ballot to Peterson, having gotten 26
percent, or 231 votes.
Macquire: Dropped on the third ballot, with 6 percent or 54 votes.
Peterson: Endorsed on the fourth ballot with unanimous consent after
Erickson dropped. Had gotten 56 percent, or 493 votes on the
third ballot.
Taylor: Endorsed on the second ballot with 64 percent, or 581 votes.
Board of Estimation and Taxation
The body on the first ballot unanimously endorsed Gordon Nelson and Wally Swan.
Park and Recreation Board
Erwin: Endorsed on the first ballot with 74 percent, or 657 votes.
Forney: Dropped on the third ballot with
Berry-Graves: Endorsed on the first ballot with 61 percent, or 546 votes.
Olson: Dropped on the third ballot, with
Scott: Endorsed on the third ballot, with
Library Board
Fedor: Dropped on the third ballot, having gotten 19.4 percent or 168 votes
on the second.
Garnett: Endorsed unanimously on the third ballot, having gotten 58.4
percent, with 505 votes.
Hofstede: Endorsed on the first ballot with 75.8 percent, or 658 votes.
Kennedy: Dropped on the second ballot with 14.9 percent, or 129 votes.
Krueger: Endorsed on the first ballot with 63.7 percent, or 553 votes.
Mains: Endorsed on the first ballot with 68.5 percent, or 594 votes.
Marks: Endorsed on the second ballot with 64.1 percent, or 554 votes.
McGlory: Dropped on the second ballot with 5.5 percent, or 48 votes.
Savrans: Endorsed on the first ballot with 68.5 percent with 594 votes.
Scheurer: Dropped on the second ballot with 8.5 percent with 74 votes.
Mayor
Disney, Charles: Dropped on the first ballot with 0.6 percent, or 6 votes.
McDonald, Lisa: Dropped out on the second ballot with 6.1 percent, or 53
votes.
Rybak, RT: Stayed in the race with �convention adjourned,� having gotten
49.2 percent, or 420 votes on ballot number four.
Sayles Belton, Sharon: Stayed in the race with �convention adjourned,�
having gotten 47.8 percent, or 408 votes on ballot
number four.
