Again, I would challenge any of the candidates or their supporters who
continue to whine about not being endorsed by the Stonewall DFL caucus to
show me similar communications about other endorsements such as AFSCME,
Progressive Minnesota or so on. It continues to be insulting that some
people seem to think that merely showing up and "answering the questions
right" means we must fall on our knees and endorse the candidate (I fear
what emails I am going to get on that last line).

Like every other political procedure in the world our process is both
formative and normative. The reason we do in person screenings is so we can
get a feel for the people. Sometimes we just don't like someone. And that
some of these same people continue to pout and whine like a child being
refused candy is evidence that our instincts were right.

Leading up to our endorsement screenings I often meet with prospective
candidates and I always tell those candidates who are openly gay that that
does not ensure them an endorsement.

For all attempts by some campaigns to divert attention away from it the fact
remains that both in the Stonewall DFL Caucus and at the Ward Conventions:

Robert Liiegren LOST!

Barb Lickness LOST!

And they will continue to LOSE because they cannot move beyond LOSING these
times and pull together a campaign that is not going to LOSE.
