Interesting sight at 7th and Nicollet this beautiful Saturday afternoon
at 3:18 p.m. Couple guys standing in the hexagonal (octagon?) bus
shelter by City Center, one shooting dice, the other holding a handful
of twenties. Pedestrians walking up and down the Mall.

The first guy left the dice on the ground as a squad car stopped at the
light; presumably he was waiting for the police to drive on before
resuming his game.

Is shooting craps illegal, or am I just caught in a Guys and Dolls time
warp. (Nathan Detroit, and the biggest floating crap game in the
city?)

And wasn't one purpose of opening the Downtown Command was to get more
cops **walking** a beat in Downtown. Or was it just for crowd control
at ISAG Conferences??

Alan S
Downtown
heading out of town to see my parents, so can't
engage this further for a while.
