In response to all the comments I've been reading about RT Rybak and the public schools, it's time to respond and not just lurk on this posting board . . . I was driving two 7th grade boys who go to public schools in Minneapolis and I was eavesdropping on their conversation. Their parents are involved in their schools, and knowing their folks both are pretty passionate about politics. Anyway I was driving them home from the movie the "Mummy Returns" which they both thought was stupid(as you can see these are extra ordinary youth.) They were having a conversation about who their parents were going to vote for and one's mom was supporting RT Rybak and the other Lisa McDonald. I was half listening until one said "I can't believe your mom would support Rybak-- he has his kids in private schools, and your mom is way to much into public schools to support him". The other kid said he wasn't sure all the reasons why his mom supports RT but he would hate to be one of Rybak's kids and get yanked out of school so that his dad could look good.
