I heard an interesting story about Herron at this event -- apparently
several people asked Herron if he had a booth at the event, and he ignored
the question.

Palmer continues:
But I didn't see anyone else especially not the DFL
endorsed candidates besides those I mentioned, which I found disappointing,
especially since I know they will be at PRIDE next week. Which begs the
question of how much of a priority the African American community and its
issues are to some candidates.

I'd be surprised if Brian Herron shows up to Pride. He was conspictuous by
his absence in the Minneapolis DFLer Candidates ad. I'd also be surprised
if third ward's Joe Biernat shows up for Pride.

The candidates who will pay the most attention to the African American
community are those that live in heavily African American wards.

Great points Jonathan -- and thanks to all on the list who are sharing
their impressions of Juneteenth.
