David is right about Nashville being down to two candidates. My sources say
that the only real contender to Carol Johnson is one of those who
dropped....which means it would be a major surprise if she didn't get a phone
call tomorrow with an offer.
Tomorrow may be a day for all of us who know how important she has been to
this city, the schools and our kids to make it known...if you don't know
first-hand, ask someone who knows her work.
I'd also encourage representatives of each of the mayoral candidates to say
something officially about how much they intend to be involved in district
operations...how much trust Carol would continue to have and how much each
candidate would press for small or large changes in the schools.
