The Minnehaha Creek Watershed District Board of Managers agreed to a settlement tonight with MNDoT.  You can read Steve Brandt's Star Tribune article which explains some of the details at:   http://www.startribune.com/viewers/qview/cgi/qview.cgi?story=84529345&template=metro_a_cache   My personal editorial comment: I am proud of the MCWD for taking on this important challenge and sincerely hope that our efforts do help protect the natural flow of the spring for generations to enjoy.  I hope that we can all go forward together to make this fabulous resource and area one that more people can access and appreciate.  Many kudos should go to the Camp Coldwater Coalition for their tireless efforts to protect this area and the work they accomplished at the Legislature this year. Specifically, I want to mention the time put in by Jean Hollingsworth, Susu Jeffrey, Lynn Levine, Tom Holtzleiter, and Mary Weitz who each became watershed district groupies in order to follow this thing through.  Thanks to all who helped!   Pam Blixt Nokomis East-Home of Coldwater Spring   President, MCWD Board of Managers
