Okay, I'll take the bait.

I finally figured out the Vickie Brock/Brian Herron connection. As I was
driving down E31st street, I saw a Brock sign in Herron's yard at 3109
Clinton Ave S!! Actually, it does concern me that Vickie worked so closely
with Brian - How much did she know & why didn't she do anything about what
she might have known; if she didn't know anything, why not?? I mean, there
was bribery, extortion and illegal drug use going on and Vicky took those
calls as aid. Many in the ward suspected that Basim was more than a friend
of Brian or developer in the ward. icky has never answered any of these
questions that I'm sure a lot of people have for her. I'm also concerned
about the number of people outside the ward on Vicky's campaign - makes it
feel like outsiders (within the DFL)are determining the leadership for our
ward, and thats insulting on a lot of levels.
I can't vote for Vicky - time for a fresh start in the council office.

Louis replies:

Its unfortunate that you have not sat down with Vickie to get to know her.
After tomorrow, she will gladly meet with you to determine what it will take
to get your support.

Further, the last time I checked, people involved in illegal activity don't
tend to broadcast their actions. And given the fact that the FBI has not
implicated Vickie, I would advise you, if you want to retain any
credibility, to not seek to smear her name with such irresponsible
suggestions and innuendo. I won't spend anymore time on this topic because
I understand how people judge the participants in arguments.

However, if you drove down Portland, Park, or Chicago, especially south of
42d street where 62% of the votes come from, you will see over 100 lawn
signs of people who have had their questions answered in a very close and
personal way as she knocked on every door in those precincts and we dropped
over 7,000 pieces of literature.

Your final point about outsiders deterimining the leadership of the ward
begs the question. If they are outsiders they can't vote tomorrow, right?
Sounds to me like the 3,000 people that we expect to show up at the polls
will make the decision. What do you think? But, again, as one of those
outsiders, I don't recall ever seeing you at a CNIA board meeting (I served
there), or a BNO board meeting (I was the President), or at the 5th avenue
cookouts, the baseball games, or on the corner talking to young men and
women about their future. This is just another way of protecting the
investment that I made over the last 12 years. Sorry to have insulted you
by staying involved rather than disconnecting. How can I do better?
