It seems every time that I hear Ralph Nader speak, he's going on about how it's imperative that the next generation, for the sake of freedom and democracy, form a third party as an alternative to the two party system. To paraphrase, he would say the only thing for sure in America is the institution. So who do I believe, Ralph or some local politician? hmmmmmmm............. The original sin and the current sin of the Greens is elect ability (oh my god, what if they won). The original question was and forever will be... Can the DFL stand some competition? Thus someone like Paul Zerby resorts to "well, they can't win..." like that Governor of ours, remember he shocked the world. But more than anything Minnesota shocked me, it moved a tremendous mountain, and I think that energy to move mountains will grow. I would like to make a prediction, but not for tomorrow, in twenty five years the Greens will absorb whatever is " left" of the DFL.
