      Agreed, and now it seems like her most likely opponents will be
the same species of horse only with different hair. SSB promised to do
a lot for the neighborhoods too, work on affordable housing, and here
we are eight years later...anyway, I wanted to address the persistent
whining about the MPD. While they're a long way from perfect, you
people have no idea just how bad a police department can get.
I suggest you haul out your search engines and check out "Prince
Georges County Police" and "Washington Post". After you're done
reading that you'll fall down on your knees and praise God you aren't
living there. They had a rough reputation when I was growing up
there, but this reminds me of the stories they used to tell about the
Philadelphia cops unnder Frank Rizzo.
      Oh, and in case anyone thinks having blacks in charge makes
a difference - please note that the PG County Executive, most if
not all of the County Council, and a healthy chunk of the force are
black. The PGPD is truly an equal opportunity offender.
