This is an exciting moment for Minneapolis, I think, Russ. I'm anxious to
see a man the quality of RT govern there for awhile. Watch him move now.
He's going to suddenly have a raft of friends he never thought he had
before. :-) And money. People just LOVE winners.

Yes, on my way to work this morning I noticed about a half dozen RT signs on
Basim Sabri's 2nd Ave lots - the location that Sabri wanted to put his Motel!
Constance Nompelis (sp?) on this list previously commented on Sabri's desire to
be "on the winning team", guess this is further support for that assertion. RT
is a list member, so I guess he knows what he's getting into. ($27K fundraiser
for some committee seats, perhaps? Yes, bad joke, I know)
I'm extremely pleased that Joan Campbell's ward will be getting new leadership -
given some of her recent performances, particularly the Padilla Spears Beardsley
project - it's time they got leadership that represents the interests of the
ward and it's residents.
Congratulations to Robert Lilligren on such a strong 8th Ward showing - you'll
make a great councilperson!
I'm also encouraged that Green candidates have done as well as they have - it's
about time we get a green presence in American politics, and it starts at the
local level.
