I agree that St. Paul has a lot to offer. After all,
we are the Twin Cities. I like to refer to St. Paul
as the last city of the East and Minneapolis as the
first city of the West but that's just my
interpretation.
Minneapolis also has a great deal to offer children.
The Minneapolis Institute of Arts, the Children's
Theater, Intermedia Arts, the Jungle Theater (and
that's just in my neighborhood), then there is
Franklin Artworks, Heart of the Beast Puppet Theater,
the Walker, the Guthrie, McPhail Music School, and the
State and Orpheum Theaters which thanks to Tom Hoch
graciously share their facilities and show tickets
from time to time. Oops almost forgot the Bakken
Museum. And of course there's our lakes, the parks,
the parkway systems, and the new Midtown Greenway
which allows my son to travel on his bike to and from
the lakes without confronting street traffic. (a big
plus) There is more I am sure.
Thanks to the proximity of Minneapolis to St. Paul the
kids can also take a bus and frequently do or drive
with their parents to see all those good things that
St. Paul has to offer.
We are all truly lucky to have such convenient access
to both cities and their assets.
Minneapolis is a cool place to live and from now until
next April, it will get cooler every day.
