There's the I35W Committee. There are meetings with business
associations (Chicago Lake, Fourth and Lake, probably
others) and representatives from various groups--like the
Heritage Homes group--only there must be a dozen groups
since there are nine neighborhoods in the ward. There's
Weed & Seed which has committees. It goes on and on. I saw
her last week meeting with the 3rd precinct. All this stuff
was assigned to her while Herron was in situ but now that
he's gone there's even more. She reports to Dore Mead.

Actually, it seems like everyone and his brother is paying
attention. The schedule is perused by Mead, but there are
others. Council Aides work till ten at night sometimes. They
don't get overtime, but they do get compenstory time if
there's any way to squeeze it in. The schedule keeper is
Office assistant Connie Kiser.

There are guidelines and they are followed by all aides.
