SSB voted to provide domestic partner benefits to city
employees (she may even have co-sponsored that bill), and
she voted to appeal the judge who said the city couldn't do
that. Plus she voted for the Pride proclamation every year
when she was on the council, and signed it when Mayor. She
supported efforts to give the Civilian Review Commission
more control over Police. In past elections, she's worked
to help GLBT candidates like Wally Swan, Rod Krueger, etc.
She has shown up to Lit drops for both Karen Clark & Allan
Spear. She's got a pretty good record on hiring GLBT people
within her own staff -- Vernon Wetternach as Deputy Mayor,
Roy Schmidt, etc. Others Stonewall has endorsed over the
years who have done a lot less for the GLBT community.
