Needless to say, the use of profanity on the forum is way out of line. Please, folks, do not respond in kind. (I have dealt with the rules violations already.)
In the past couple of days, we've gotten into "family matters" that have some public dimension. It's important to make sure you're criticizing people's public actions and not their family actions. But if you do feel someone is attacking someone personally, please do a couple of things: Email the person offlist and tell them your thoughts Email me and complain about a rules violation. I will take care of it so this junk doesn't get to the list. We've been good lately...let's not slide back, even in these elections' final days.
