Mind you, I'm counting these lines from the web version of the editorial and I'm only counting the lines in which the Strib discusses its endorsee:
John Casserly's endorsement: 6 lines
Sandy Colvin Roy's endorsement: 8 lines (and not many nice things to say about her in those eight lines)
Barret Lane's endorsement: 8 lines
Let's put it this way, I don't WANT to know the voter that makes up his/her mind based on a few lines in a newspaper! I think in a local election, which historically doesn't have the greatest turnout to begin with, anybody who would make their decision based solely on the Strib is a very "soft" follower of the local electoral process and probably isn't inclined to rush to the polls on election day anyway. Not to take anything away from the good candidates that did get endorsed, but my bottom line prediction is that the Strib will have zero impact on the election. Rather, the folks who turn out to community meetings, meet-and-greets, debates, and other candidate forums, will always be, overwhelmingly, the deciding factor.
