mind based on a few lines in a newspaper! I think in a local election, which
historically doesn't have the greatest turnout to begin with, anybody who
would make their decision based solely on the Strib is a very "soft" follower
of the local electoral process and probably isn't inclined to rush to the
polls on election day anyway.

      Aw, Molly, don't be so hard on us Republicans who want a quick list
of people to vote against. :)
      For what it's worth ...when I ran for the state house in 1988 against
Karen Clark, I was sufficiently flustered by getting the 'Strib's
endorsement that I went down there and asked why I was the only IR
House candidate to get the endorsement. I was seriously worried that
it would cost me votes!
