I believe it's essential to address why Dan is getting endorsements over Doug.... ...Dan Niziolek has a ten-year professional and volunteer commitment to this Ward that voters respect and appreciate. When Doug announced he was running, I know I wasn't the only one who said, "Who is this guy?", and I'm President of my neighborhood and active in local politics. If I asked that, think of all the other folks who asked the same thing. Comparing that with Dan's extensive involvement and roots in this community you have a disparity that is the true difference between these two candidates.
[RF] Many people I've heard speak on Dan's behalf cite his experience in neighborhood organizations and as a city employee. (I've heard Doug's supporters talk about his status as an outsider and his experience with issues of concern in the city.) Meanwhile, many of the same Niziolek supporters guffaw at Sayles Belton supporters who say Rybak is not a good choice because he does not have the experience of being an elected official. Seems to me as though it is the same argument used two different ways by the same people. Comments? --Rosa Field Ward 10-2 __________________________________________________ Do You Yahoo!?
