As has happended before Mr. Cross has forgotten to include a critical detail in his narative. It has become quite a chore to insure that meeting minutes, posts and news articles provide an accurate accounting of events. And, as this process is beginning to ware on me I would like to call on Candidate Zerby to fill in the missing detail. Although I don't support Mr. Zerby's candidacy, I have yet to see him prevaricate. In case Mr. Zerby also has memory problems I will provide a hint: Think small yellow button with black lettering. If Mr. Zerby has no recolection of the event in question, I will not keep list members in suspense and will let you know the whole story by Monday. I would also like to comment on Mr. Cross' use of the word "allies." It is true that our community was divided into warring camps over streetlights, but the truth is that the responsibility for this conflict lies with PPERRIA. We were only asking that there be a survey of our neighborhood to insure the accuracy of a petition calling for the installation of lights (because we believed that the process had been biased). If PPERRIA had truely believed that they had 51%, why did they stonewall us and drive the neigborhood into conflict? Even Mr. Zerby has admitted to me that in hindsight this might have been a better course of action. If someone had insisted on inclusion and a respect for minority voices we could have avoided a lot of anger and bad feelings. I believe that Cam Gordon would have taken this course of action, which is why I support his election to the city council.
