In today's Star Tribune is an article on reporters and newscasts cut from Ch. 5 and Ch. 45. Given the awareness that the local media has done a less than stellar job of reporting and covering municipal elections this year, is this an omen that whoever is in office come January will not be subject to journalistic inquiries? What does this action mean for citizens who need and want help from the news media in keeping tabs on City Hall and the independent boards?

"I'm not trying to put it in the same category as someone who lost a friend or loved one, but it did have a brutal impact on our business.
