The MPRAC meeting starts at 7 PM this Wednesday at the Eagles Club, 2507
East 25th Street.

Yes, everyone is welcome. Don't pay attention to anyone who benefits from
discrediting MPRAC attendees.

Do you know who the Associates of Minneapolis Property Rights Action
Committee (MPRAC) are?

They are persons:
Who have overcome major obstacles
Who serve renters who have social problems, family problems, peer problems
and poverty.
Who work under the extreme Minneapolis city conditions in an unique and
honorable profession
Who are highly regarded by their peers
Who regularly sacrifice their money and time to save the city
Remember: Private Property is the Constitutional right that keeps
government from having complete control of our lives and livelihood.

"No other rights are safe when property is not safe." Daniel Webster.

Mpls Property Rights Associates have successfully succeeded in continuously
raising the level of public debate and responsibility on numerous issues.
Their hard work and personal responsibility desperately needs to be
duplicated by you and others to SAVE OUR CITY!

The Star Tribune reported on 1-15-00 that the Federal Government allocated
$117,000,000.00 to replace 770 housing units that were torn down on the
near north side. This comes to $151,948.05 per housing unit. Just to
service the debt on an apartment unit costing this amount would require
that they collect $1,114.94 per month in rent in order to pay the principle
and interest on an 8% 30 year loan. In addition to this, they need to pay
insurance, gas, water, sewer, electric, phone, legal and accounting fees,
license, appliance and carpet replacement, supplies, labor & contractors to
maintain and make repairs, etc. Does this sound like affordable housing.

P.S. Future Mayor R.T. Rybeck sends his regrets that he cannot attend
Wednesday's meeting because of an out of town meeting.

God bless all of us.

Mel Gregerson
