There are two upcoming meetings on pollution permits for Minneapolis
facilities: Xcel Riverside coal plant and Owens-Corning roofing facility.
More and more citizens are questioning the automatic renewal of pollution
permits, and many organizations and individuals are requesting public
meetings to ask for better pollution controls. Please attend these meetings
if you can:

Keith says, Dear Fran G., I wish to suggest one of the most compelling
reasons you and other oxygen breathing, quiet seeking, river front types and
naturalists should support the JADT development proposal for many new housing
units and a big park at the Riverview site. It will guarantee a new group of
stake holders, hard-wired for a clean, safe and quiet river front. These new
home owners on the river will be present to monitor conditions and speak with
a clear voice. The best outcomes for the river will be the best outcomes for
these new stakeholders. Think about it.
Keith Reitman, Someday I'll see you on West Broadway or at the new park,
Near North
