I know the above request is well-intentioned, but I'd like to ask new
members (and remind old ones) to limit list subjects to those that
unique to Minneapolis or with unique Minneapolis impacts.

If we let every federal issue that Sabo might vote on in here, we'd
quickly become a federal discussion list, just like thousands of others
on the Internet.

If there is a federal issue that primarily affects Minneapolis (like the
Hiawatha light-rail line), it's fine here. If it's a national issue that
affects Minneapolis similarly to, say, Wichita and Honolulu - as
campaign finance reform does - please find national or topic-specific
discussion lists.

It can be confusing, but we're not here to discuss every issue that
affects Minneapolitans. We're here to discuss issues that are primarily
about Minneapolis - truly local issues.
