Maybe I've just missed it but has anyone on this list
spoken of the young child who was abused at Benjamin
Banneker school?

Frankly I don't read a lot of the posting relating to
education.

I wish I had more interest but not being in a place
where that is an issue I tune out.

I read some but I find myself more likely to read the
stories I see in community papers. Like Lynnel's or
Sarah Dunaway's letter to the Editor in SW Journal.

I understand her point perfectly about wanting her
child go to school with her neighbor's child at the
other end of the block.

Busing, for all it was supposed to achieve, had a
devastating effect on neighborhoods. More importantly,
children were harmed in ways I'm not sure were made up
for by being bussed around the city.

Such was(is) the problem with "separate but equal". It
never was.

But I've digressed from my beginning.....

What I do not tune out is a young child being abused
by two older children in school.

What I especially do not tune out is the reaction of
the school officials. Can we say TOTALLY
IRRESPONSIBLE.

I'm with Mike Sauro on this one.

Teachers teach, police police.
