WR:  The increase that was voted for was absolutely unnecessary.  MRI was 
under contract for one more full year and should have been obligated to 
fulfill its contract.  You can bet your butt, that if Mpls. would have broke 
the same contract, taxpayers would have been paying via lawsuit by MRI.

As a last hurrah, the fiscally inept group of Belton, Cherryhomes, Campbell, 
Thurber, Biernat, Johnson, Colvin-Roy, and McDonald (who campaigned so 
strongly against exactly this type of mismanagement), wanted to stick it to 
the taxpayers one last time before they were broken up.  Deciding to favor 
this special interest instead of the public is the perfect completion to the 
last four years of amazingly irresponsible financial boondoggles against the 
public interest.

It must have been time to pay back some campaign donations, or earn future 
ones, for these seven.
