I think I have to correct 2 errors on the list. 1. Dr. Bill Green, who
just left the School Board, is not a teacher in the MPS. He is a Professor
at Augsburg College. 2. He was not asleep at any board meeting I attended,
he just looks that way from the camera angle. I sat next to him for 1 year
and a the far end of the desk for the next. Believe me, he was never
sleeping. He added a level of thought and intellectuallism to discussions
and policy discourse. I feel very lucky to have served with him as I have
learned a great deal from him.

Dr. Green also has a very indepth knowledge of systems, political and
social relations and educational programs. He was a very valued board
member, although he is somewhat shy and humble. He never likes having
attention called to him. In spite of that, he was chosen as a School Board
Member of the Year by the Minesota School Boards Association, an
association made up of over 300 school districts in the state, for his
outstanding contributions and dedication to education and the city of
Minneapolis. Dr. Green is one person to whom I feel I can always turn to
for sound advice on educational policy matters.
