This argument is seriously off base in two ways:
First, it says that "the DFL" is doing this. Quite incorrect. The bill
was proposed by one DFL elected official, but several posts opposing it
came from the DFL City party chair. Referring to "the DFL" as if they were
a monolithic block who always agree is a long way from reality! (DFL'ers
often disagree wildly.) As far as I know, no unit of the DFL party has
taken any official position on this proposal.
Second, the tricks that were used to steal the Presidential election are
far different from anything that has been discussed here. As far as I
know, the optical mark ballots used in Minneapolis elections are quite easy
for voters to understand, the on-site optical scanners work very well, the
voter registration lists for each precinct are generally accurate, there
seems to be no significant problem with the same-day registration process,
Minneapolis police are not arresting people for "loitering" while they wait
in line to vote (seldom even heard of their being much lines), etc. In my
opinion, we have a very clean voting process in Minneapolis. This is quite
different from what went on with the Presidential election (which is not a
Minneapolis issue anyway).
Statements like the one quoted above don't contribute much to the
discussion of this proposal.
