I wish I had a crow story other than teaching my 2-year-old how to caw, but I don't. Actually, a good friend made up a very funny story about Crowsama Bin Laden and his flock of followers, but that's, well, another story.
In any event, came across a letter from the head of the Field-Regina-Northrop Neighborhood Group recently about Prodigal House/Heilman House, a sober recovery residence very preliminarily planned for the old Regina Terrace property at 46th and Fourth in S. Minneapolis (it's across the street from Kirk's Mobil, one of the oldest black-owned gas stations in the city). I thought this paragraph was interesting: "Considering the long and painful hard work of the neighborhood to remove all drug related businesses from this corner, the ongoing efforts to remove the adjacent Clinton Avenue drug house and Field grade school across the street, we question the appropriateness of locating this facility in our neighborhood." There was a neighborhood meeting on this issue yesterday, but I don't know much about what happened at that meeting. Gregory Luce N.
