**Don't Tread on Cedar Lake's 'Hidden Beach'** The
Kenwood-Isles
Neighborhood Association is meeting on Mon. Feb 4 at
7:30 PM.
2101 W Franklin, Minneapolis.
I recieved the below notice by email. Anyone on the
listserve have any further information on this
meeting? What are people's thoughts on losing the
wilds of Cedar Lake so close on the heels of the
development of Twin Lake? Must all of nature be paved
over to satisfy those who want all things to be
sanitized-socially & environmentally- regardless of if
it kills what is unique about the areas character?

Thanks, David Strand
Loring Park, Ward 7, Vivian Mason's Park district

There are people who want to disrupt this beach:
bulldoze, pave a parking lot, turnaround, etc. [so
police don't have to
get off their __ and can drive around to patrol],
while encouraging more
people to drive polluting cars to the area. All at
taxpayer's expense, of
course. The natural state of this beach is already
endangered. Changes
will inevitably make it worse. The 'wild' nature of
this beach is what
makes it many people's favorites. They aren't
publicizing this well at
all, so show up and bring a friend.
