Andy kind of put it best, just leaving it at King is too easy to confuse it. And seeing he was the only American who has a National Holiday (Washington & Lincoln used to be they've been combined into Presidents Day in many regards) I think it's worth the extra letters. It'll be referred to as MLK straight anyways.
By providence, the world reknown Morehouse College Glee Club, alma mater of myself, Dr. King and Julian Bond who was just here for the MLK Breakfast, is in town as the featured artist for the Plymouth Music Series Witness Program. Today and tomorrow, they're performing and doing workshops at local schools, but Saturday, they are performing at Orchestra Hall at 8:00pm and tickets are still available. If you have never had the opportunity to see them perform, you would be doing yourself a disservice not to attend. Morehouse College is one of the foremost educational institutions in the world, and the Glee Club is a preeminent singing organization having only 3 directors in 91 years, performed for world leaders, organizations and along with such dynamic performers as Jessye Norman, Leontyne Price and Stevie Wonder. And if you watched the '96 Olympics you saw them in the Closing Ceremonies (along with me I might add). Trust me you don't want to miss this performance. I could go on forever about the incredible things they've done so just check the links below for more info if you're interested. More info on the Glee Club can be found at: http://mcgc.8m.com/ And the college at: www.morehouse.edu.
