As a 72-year old man who was born and reared "up the holler" in Kentucky, and who is member 101321 of the Sons of the American Revolution, I will say that Gehry's Weisman is a great building. Having lived just across the Mississippi in Riverview Tower from the Weisman, I watched it being built with curiosity. But the years I have had watching the setting sun's reflections on it, will never leave my memory. It is not just a great building, it is spectacular.
As I sit here writing this, and I am smiling at all the pompous pronouncements on this List concerning the design for the new Guthrie.
