about thinking BIG in terms of really changing dynamics in low-income
communities,

major theme of these seminars is how all the building blocks - nonprofits,
churches, colleges, government, banks, individuals - can lend their
resources
and can all benefit. >>
Keith says; We so often hear the activists chanting about gender and
race bias's built into our 'white male patriarchy', and we are held to a
learning curve to identify these often hard-wired disparities in the market
place and the market place of ideas. Less noticed is the nonprofiteers image
of their own, much subsidized institutions, as the cornerstone(s), and
"building blocks" of neighborhood building. I, for one, doubt their outcomes
warrant our public cash infusions.
The above description of a seminar is a great example of this
narcissism. Not "...all the building blocks..." are even recognized until
small business interests and property owners are recognized, brought in as
stake holders, and acknowledged. Starting within the invitations and seminar
descriptions.
