It sounds like Clark knows what he is talking about in terms of ticket prices. The argument on the other side of the coin is well developed by the C-17 Committee, the group of Minneapolis citizens that looked extensively at the issue, and which stated as one of its conclusions, "We recommend making a smaller facility than we've seen in the past, using a smaller, constrained site, and making the ballpark a single use facility. This should be done with the experience of the fans as an organizing principle, but not to the exclusion of practical considerations about the amenities needed to assure adequate revenue streams."
They identified the characteristics of a new ballpark that would make it most likely to contribute positively to the City of Minneapolis, and the entertainment experience of the average fan. The compact urban stadium recommended by the committee also happens to be easier on taxpayers.
