MINNEAPOLIS REDISTRICTING COMMISSION
SEEKS APPLICANTS FOR COMMISSION CHAIR

The Minneapolis Redistricting Commission is seeking individuals interested
in applying to serve as Chair of the Redistricting Commission. The
Redistricting Commission is responsible for establishing new ward boundaries
after the 2000 Census. The Commission will meet at least weekly through
April 30, 2002, which is the deadline for approval of new Ward plan. The
chair must be selected by March 7, 2002.  The members of the Redistricting
Commission will elect the chair of the Commission. Persons interested in
serving as Chair to the Redistricting Commission should mail, fax or e-mail
resumes by 4:30 p.m.  February 27, 2002 to: Susanne Griffin, Director of
Elections, Room 1B, City Hall, 350 South 5th Street, Minneapolis, MN  55415.

*       Wednesday, February 27, 2002 at 6:00 p.m. in Room 220, City Hall
*       Monday, March 4, 2002 (time and place to be determined)
*       Wednesday, March 6, 2002 (time and place to be determined)
