Northeast has Columbia Park that offers cross country ski trails, too. The trails don't seem to be used by too many people. Along with Wirth, it would be another site to consider. Speaking of Columbia -- it's a wonderful park that is amazingly under-used. It offers a rugby field, tot lot, off-leash dog area, walking/bike trails, picnic shelter, and beautiful open spaces right next to an 18-hole golf course and driving range.
