Why would the MCDA disburse so much money with no development contract in place?
How do we know who got the money? Some of the rehab work had been started, but not $1.2 million worth. Can anyone produce cancelled checks totaling $1.2 million? For all we know, someone pocketed $800,000 - tax free! How do the Cedar-Riverside residents and taxpayers find out what happened to the money? If it's sitting in someone's bank account - let's get it back! How can the MCDA be so careless with public money?
