[TB] While I hardly agree that adding lanes is "dealing" with mass transit, it should be remembered that it was Sen. Johnson (Bloomington) and Terwilliger (Eden Prairie/Edina) that brought that project to a halt because the people in the 'burbs didn't like the detour they would need to take on the way into the city. [TB] I expect to go to an Independence Party caucus for the first time. Do they sub-caucus or is that just a DFL thing? R.T. [TB] We need to remember that part of the reason that affordable housing is such an issue in the central city is that there is even less of it elsewhere. The Democrats and Republicans have demonstrated an ability not to be able to think outside the box. Good reason to try some other options. When we have candidates from rural parts of the state printing campaign literature promising to work to reduce funding for anything Minneapolis, we have a serious problem. The urban/rural split in our legislature hurts us badly. Unfortunately many of our city representatives don't fight fire with fire. By the way, the Hennepin County website gives you a place to find your caucus location: http://204.73.55.30/voterinfo/caucus/AddrSrchFrm.htm put your address in the boxes on the left side and it will give you the location of all 4 party caucuses for your precinct.
