[Mpls] Minneapolis and Redistricting

Bill Dooley is absolutely right that we really will not know if there is an OPEN legislative seat in Minneapolis until March 19, when the court-ordered redistricting boundaries are set. It is not clear at all whether Sen. Orfield's departure will create such an open seat. I believe there is at least one scenario in which Sen. Jane Ranum becomes the Senator for a good part of the existing Senate District 60, and there is one plan being considered that splits the existing District 60B  roughly in two with areas of the 13th Ward west of Lakes Harriet and Calhoun paired with Edina.   Frank Hornstein Ward 13
