WHAT: Minneapolis Redistricting Commission Special Meeting on
Diversity Issues

Minneapolis City Hall, 350 South 5th Street
(Please use 4th Street entrance only)
MORE: The redistricting process is underway and scheduled for completion
by April 30. All of Minneapolis' 13 wards and six park districts will be
redistricted to reflect the Census 2000 population changes. The
Redistricting Commission would like to invite members of the ethnic and
minority communities to attend this special meeting on diversity issues to
ensure fair representation for all. Those who wish to speak at this special
meeting should contact Dani Connors-Smith at 612-673-3857 to be on the
speakers list. Comments and views can also be e-mailed
([EMAIL PROTECTED]) or faxed to 612-673-3399.
Two other public hearings have also been scheduled for March 21 and
April 11. Both meetings will begin at 6 p.m. in the City Council Chamber.
Everyone interested in the redistricting process is encouraged to attend.
