Back in February, we all received a mailing explaining the new city rules relative to the necessity of clearing a path and clearing snow away from one's city trash receptacle in a timely fashion (roughly 48 hours, I think) after a snowstorm.
As I recall, there were a number of members of this forum who excoriated the city of Minneapolis, in particular the Department of Solid Waste for sending out this mailing when the weather was warm and sunny and there was no snow on the ground (hmm.. lets see... something like "hello? has anyone down at the city looked outside? " Certainly the word "wasteful" was bandied about..) Susan Young's reply was respectful, patient and thorough. Well, gee..let's all take a look outside tonight and ponder whether it was a good thing that the city made the effort to get the word out about these new rules. And we're only midway through March - the snowiest month of the year. I'm sure Ms. Young will be happy to accept your apologies (you know who you are) either in this forum or off-line .. no hard feelings.
