I, for one, am sick and tired of the newscasters - primarily the TV ones - making sport of snow removal rules in Minneapolis. They begin the piece by saying, "Now, listen up, this is complicated" and then proceed to roll their eyes and make the situation even worse because they do not understand the rules.
News broadcasts should enlighten and if the reporters are too lazy to dig out the story and get it right, they shouldn't touch it. I really don't know what to do about snow plowing in Minneapolis. In parts of the city where there are numerous apartments and people have to park on the street, it is just impossible to do a good job. In some areas a ban on overnight parking, ala the suburbs, might be workable, but a difficult sell job. So in the meantime, newscasters do your job and stop playing comedians.
