Hello, I fail to see any valid comparison between the question asked, which entails the security of a community, and perhaps poses a potential threat to females and/or children in said community, and one's e-mail address. I am sorry that out of all of the issues I addressed in my post to the list, the only point you chose to respond to was that of a user name for the e-mail service I subscribe to. This is precisely the type of attitude that people such as myself - who are admittedly apprehensive to say the least, of the manner in which our government functions - have been dealing with for some time now. The e-mail address existed long before I subscribed to this list, and for the record, my actual legal name - as it appears on my MN license, credit cards, etc - was affixed to my original post, in adherence to the decorum established for the list. For the record, I am a male, although I also fail to see the significance in your concern over this matter.
In regards to the individual who has "completed his sentence, I feel compelled to reiterate a few points. The status of this offender is Level III, which is the most violent. His crimes, which are a matter of public record, involve extreme violence towards his victims, all of whom were/are minors, and have endured severe physical brutality, including his most recent victim, who was held captive for hours, while he repeatedly assaulted her. Incidentally, with regards to concerns towards repeat offenders, this heinous crime was committed within less than ten days after his release for an earlier offence. According to the authorities, and also a matter of public record, all of his offences also involved illegal substance abuse, for which he was required to successfully complete a rehab program, and as I stated previously, failed to do so - repeatedly. Given this, I fail to recognize that 44 months of incarceration constitutes completion of a mandatory sentence, which raises the questionof how such an individual can be viewed as suitable for re-entering a community. Again, I think these issues are important enough to raise within a forum dedicated to actively discussing issues pertaining to the effectiveness of local government; and I fail to see how my name - or rather, my e-mail address - should have any bearing on such a discussion. I believe I have adhered to the rules of this list when posting, and I would hope to receive the same respect I have excercized towards the other members of this forum. I am well aware that I may not represent the status quo of a forum such as this list, but there are many new types of faces becoming involved in community groups, as well as local government, and if I am willing to behave in the manner prescribed by this list, then I would hope we can dispense with such trivialities, and engage in a serious discussion of a serious issue. Thank you. J. Answer the question yourself: Are questions over the release of a sex criminal into your neighborhood, one who has completed his /her term any less valid than some may have over a persons known as "chain-wallet bitch" and her (?) girlfriend asking them?
