I would just like to start off with an salute to Tracy for helping us remember our rights. I tend agree that most people when driving cars forget what it is like to be a pedestrian. They never look both ways at stop signs or check their mirrors, they just drive. That seems to be the biggest problem they just don't pay attention. I personaly have almost been hit a couple of times walking around downtown, right in front of the convention center. I mean come on this is supposed to be a high foot traffic area in the first place, the least drivers could do is respect something so obvious as the convention center. Now I don't know he best solution to poor driving because to this point not much has worked, but I think more signs and more paint on the road and stiffer penalties are what we should start with.
