By way of a followup to my abortive discussion with
Audrey Johnson here on funding for MPS, I took a look
at the Minneapolis Public Schools website. The current
budget is nowhere to be found, just a couple of PDF
files recounting the superintendent's recommendations
to the School Board. In fact, the only source of
information I've been able to find on school funding is
a publication by the Minnesota House Republican Caucus
which talks in generic terms about the various sources
of funding for public schools but doesn't go into
detail about how much money is spent on/in any given
district since it's talking about statewide funding.

Sure would be nice to see that budget online so we'd
all know where the money comes from and where it's
going. Guess I'll have to call up and ask for a dead
tree copy.
