I'm sorry to use Dennis's post below as a platform, but his was the one that convinced me this particular topic approach won't die...
As with all other issues, we need to keep the stadium debate chatter centered on Minneapolis - not the more general debate on what the Twins do and don't do. Please focus on what risk/benefits the city should take - on local decisions and effects, not the broader question of the Twins' actions at the legislature. In other words, if the Twins do something that makes this a bad deal for Minneapolis, please specify. But general anti-Twins (or pro-Twins) rhetoric is really about a statewide issue, better handled at our state-level discussion list, http://www.e-democracy.org While I'm on the subject, the post this a.m. about Becky Lourey's candidacy was also not right for this forum. If Becky, or Roger Moe, or Judy Dutcher, or Ken Pentel, or Brian Sullivan, or Tim Pawlenty, etc. are speaking to Minneapolis-specific issues, by all means let's discuss them here. But more general campaigning is a no-no without those local issues or locally specified effects. That goes for all the non-Minneapolis-centered campaigns.
